Innate "Fisherman"

Jessica Jackley What do you think of people in poverty? Maybe what Jessica Jackley once did: "they" need "our" help, in the form of a few coins in a jar. The co-founder of Kiva.org talks about how her attitude changed -- and how her work with microloans has brought new power to people who live on a few dollars a day.

- "Indian Puts Solar Power Technology
in Hands of Poor"

By Kristine Felisse Mangunay
Philippine Daily Inquirer

When the pugilist turned Congressman Manny Pacquiao said that he was going to help the poor during his campaign, I thought this was how his going to do it since his a businessman himself. I'm very disappointed to see what his "solutions" turned out to be - a new game show in his name, just another egoistic politician.

People like Jessica Jackley, Atty. Xilca Alvarez (I can't find a link about her, just the vid above), Harish Hande, etc. are people who shows concrete and provide real solutions.

Cong. Pacquiao is just giving away "Fish." How long do you think will that last and what happens then?
